Seriously though, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here is right on par with their self titled offering in my

honest opinion. I also like it better than Black Gives Way To Blue. As much of a kick ass album

BGWTB was and still is, TDPDH is more sludgier, doomier, and at times more melodic whilst

maintaining a more chunkier and complete sound.

I gave this album a 5, but ideally it would be more like a 4.5 or 93/100. I only gave it a perfect

score to make up for some of the highly questionable 3's and less from other users (49 in total).

Overall, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here is yet another masterpiece from Alice In Chains v2.0, it is a

real grower, getting better after each listen. Maybe over time it will start receiving more positive

recognition from the haters and from those stuck in the past. Hopefully the boys have a few more

studio albums in store for us over the coming years.

I have heard quite a bit about how awesome Dirt is supposed to be... Well, what's a good song from it to start with?

Will do, Ciperion. Definitely like the vocals better on it compared to the guy on this after hearing Them Bones.

Ha ha, I heard about the whole banning thing, necrotica. I got a good chuckle out of that quote in the banned user

section. Looks like it might have been worth it, lol.

Sup Ecnal, you should check out Dirt, because even though they're classified as a grunge band, there is a fair bit of variety in Alice's music. I reckon you'll dig it because there's NO ONE IN THE WORLD THAT DOESN'T.

Truer words have nary been spoke.

"prog rock here and there"

Pssshhh. Dirt doesn't prog hard enough. Only one timesig through Them Bones? Sure, they try out multiple time sigs in Rain When I Die, but any foo' can switch between 6/4 and 4/4.
