This is in my top favorite albums of all time and The Pecan Tree is quite possibly the best song ever written. A lot of their stuff since this album has been great and all, but this album was just something else, and I can’t help but be disappointed in future releases because this album has set expectations so high. It’s a flawless album front to back. This album is just one of a kind. Yeah I’ve spent a lot of time with this album and heard each and every lyric countless times, but there’s just so much about it that I keep coming back to. It’s so beautiful; just a wonderful experience.

the new single represents the twosome desperately attempting to claw their way back to these heights... yet the old cougar has grown flabby and arthritic, it's claws blunted; the precipitous drop into the valley beneath represents new Bermuda;Roads to Judah the winding path which we all forget exists until it's literally in front of our eyes; Demo representing the tobacco companies embracing LGBT culture in the only way they know how

I think it’s just safe to say I have been obsessed with this album since it dropped and I always will be.

i like the post rock elements but the black metal stuff does very little for me.

turn the middle part of the pecan tree into it's own song and that's a sick song

The Pecan Tree without the first few minutes would be incomplete af then. That opening part is sick.
