I think that after awhile all bands usally mature and get a diff sound i think afi did this great. changing drastically and still managed to create a great sounding cd. it is kinda cool if you listen to all there cd's you can slowly tell how they changed

When you think about it, STS isn't that much different from thier previous albums, Bleed Black, Dancing Through Sunday, Girls Not Grey, Death Of Seasons are pretty similar to thier old stuff, except Davey is singing more and not screaming/singing like before

Has anyone heard the new track, 'Miss Murder,' yet?

I did and I love it. At first it doesn't sound like Davey singing though, but his voice is still as good as ever. It's definitely catchy as well. "Hey Miss Murder,/Can I make beauty stay/If I take my life?" Can't wait for Decemberunderground!

I just got back from vacation, and Miss Murder was released as I was gone, but I was able to listen to it when i got back yesterday and it sounds great! When theres about a minute left, Davey screams like Dani Filth, it sounded orgasmic.

Very good review. I don't like AFI though. Good job nevertheless.

This is actually the only AFI cd that I really enjoy, although I can see where people would say its their weakest.

i love this album. I was once where a "Sing The Sorrow" shirt and someone yells "SELLOUT!!!" and i turned around and couldn't believe how funny that was.
Anyway, I think the best songs are Girls Not Grey, Celluloid Dream, ... But Home Is Nowhere, and This Time Imperfect. Though TAOD is my favorite AFI album, this is still a great AFI album and they sound different but in a GREAT way.

Dude, How come everyone forgets Synethesia? That is easily the best song on Sing the Sorrow, because it's friggin amazing. Not one website has a review of this song...maybe no one has heard it. Good review though, by the way.

Amazing cd. It's a big departure from the older stuff (which I love too), but I like it just as much. My favorite band and one of my favorite cd's.

Excellent album. By no means a 5^, in my opinion. But still pretty excellent.

Nah, whoever it is in AFI does has a far girlier voice. Just they use it far better.

I feel like a tool for forgetting his name, but I'm far too e-lazy to find it.This Message Edited On 05.18.06

Its a good album. Not as good as there old stuff.

It was the borderline.

Decemberunderground went over the edge.
I bought it. Listened to it once, probably never to listen to it again.

It was some of my favourite songs on it. It is "Musically" good enough.
Decemberunderground pisses me off because it was trying to be to "Scene/emo" Musically which pissed me off. There trying to be like other bands.

Nonetheless. STS was a good album.

4.5/5
