^It would have been retrospectively lauded as fucking visionary because no one at that time was even close to doing a post-rock/emo hybrid. Hell, Sigur Ros hadn't even put out that fetus album yet, Mogwai Young Team was still young, and "lifting your skinny fists like antennas to heaven" would probably be interpreted as a reference to Goku. American Football hadn't even put out their first record which pretty much started the whole damn twinkle thing in the first place.

yeah im on the edge too. I still think it misses a sort of novelty that will make it a masterpiece. I just consider it more of an indie work of art.
