I just listened to like the first 4 minutes of this album, never heard the band before and sorry...anyone who likes this may as well just listen to over-produced pop. This isn't worth sharing any similarities to metal because this is fucking horrid!

I like when the atmosphere and riffs mash together in a sort of crescendo but otherwise I'm not enjoying this

This really isn't a bad album, it's really decent and I listen to it every now and then. I just wish they went more imaginative with the riffs and atmosphere other than the boring single note riffs.

Can't stop coming back to this. I think this is one of the most delightfully melodic, passionate, and atmospheric metal records I've come across. Catchy AF. I even listen to the instrumental copy quite a bit too. Which is interesting actually. That's how I discovered that I had his vocals memorized note-for-note....I tried listening to the instrumental for the first time, and my brain filled in his vocals without meaning to.

Kinda miss Ashe. They did magic with that guy on this record.

I may have been overly critical about this album when it came out. I still enjoy it from time to time.

I've now seen them twice, once with Ashe and once with Dan, post reuniting.
People were initially saying Ashe was awkward on stage or something. I saw him maybe a year after he joined and I found him to have, surprisingly, more stage presence than Dan.
Then again, I saw Dan on the night of the Paris shootings late 2014 and they made some comments on it and seemed a little down, which lead to an intense but impersonal performance.

I've never seen Ashe perform, but he definitely seems more inhibited on stage, although from videos it looked like while in Tesseract he he lost a ton of weight and became a more physical performer. I've seen both Tesseract and Skyharbor with Dan once and while he struggled with some of Ashe's high notes the guy had terrific stage presence.

Dan has way more stage presence and experience, and he is a better singer, technically. I just like Ashe's voice better on record.
