Isn't Monuments, Vildhjarta and Uneven Structures up there for front-runners? Not a big fan of any of

them but they certainly get their fair share of attention.

Yeah but can you say any of them have near the fan base of the other 2. I mean facebook fans are not a great count but Periphery beats all 3 of those bands combined in fans, and Tesseract respectively.

I dont thing front runners has a specific definition. But I think the riph are the front runners because they kind of popularized and defined the genre. I also think their music kicks ass, and besides Vildhjarta I don't really like those other bands.

This album though...I can't listen to it from start to finish without getting bored, but pick any individual song off it to listen to and it's actually really cool.
