"I have this strong feeling that the next album should be something that really does strip away the additional things that we've experimented with on the last two albums, which is electronics, symphonics and orchestral work and all that kind of stuff."

The Resistance is marginally better than this, but I'd never listen to either again.

Well they're still keeping some of those symphonics because Matt released a quick video showing string sections being recorded.

The only track here I honestly liked was the one that sounded like a James Bond song.

Also Absolution best Muse album

yeah there's some decent tracks, like Panic Station.

I think with every Muse release they decrease in quality starting with Origin.

i like this more than resistance but otherwise agreed. resistance is mostly just overblown pretentious garbage

The resistance is pretty dull and the singles are sub-par Muse singles, nothing cringe worthy tho. Maybe the next record will be good *fingers crossed*

Hopefully, I wouldn't even mind a return to their debut. I prefer it to BH&R

nah BH&R is just pretentious and overblown, there are some okay tracks tho.

I actually enjoy a lot of showbiz, still nowhere near as good as origin and absolution
