I give respect where it's due, these guys can really play. Pastones and Williams performances are really really good

I didn't expect you to read what I said and actually understand it, but thanks for trying Kill . I agree with you, by the way.

MetallicOpeth said vocals are "PtH style". I seriously hope there is another PtH I'm not aware of

a fair comparison imo, high female-ish vocals that bog the music down hard

This album has really promising moments, but it's all the softer more ethereal parts. If they want to stick with Ashe, they should just drop the djent thing.

"marks one of the records greater and one of its greater shortcomings simultaneously. "

extremely awkward wording here.

"within what Tesseract concurrently achieves in that same space on the record"

i think i know what you're trying to say here but again, awkward phrasing in my opinion.

awkward phrasing is about the only problem i can see in the review, otherwise, pretty solid

"they should just drop the djent thing."

As a massive fan of this band. I wholeheartedly agree.

This seems to be a stepping stone for where they want to go in a more jazzy/ambient/melodic direction.

Parts do seem like they where thinkin

"Alright guys we have to have some djent otherwise people will reject us".

4 objectively 4.5 subjectively.

Ta for the feedback ILJ. Missed 'advantages' after greater in the first and yeah the second is awkward. Fixed now.

Decided this is entirely average, it sounds bombastic and confident but the substance the belies the tone is simply limp. It's a funny contrast of substance vs. execution.

I think they've hit a stylistic glass ceiling with this one.
