I was there the 1st time they played the t/t live and it was life changing. Can't wait for my next encounter with Dillinger. I spun this yesterday and it rules.

What do you guys dislike about this so much, this is up there with Calculating Infinity for me

There's not really anything here that's what Dillenger is supposed to be about. It's overproduced out the ass, and just doesn't contain enough of the math part of mathcore. This sounds like slightly above average Sumeriancore.

For me though that's direction the band has been taking for a while now changing it up from the math parts and instead going for less mathy stuff (great description)

I can definitely agree about the production, it's worse here than Option Paralysis

This album still has a ton of great jams though

Well, at least we can agree on the direction this is heading here. Sometimes people just happen to like and dislike things for the same reason.

Completely agree

All the complaints you have against this album are the reasons I love the bands earlier stuff and why Calculating Infinity is one of my favorite all time albums.

Also as much as I like this album I really just want the band to go back to their previous style and just rip my face off with some insane mathcore audio, but that's doubtful at this point.

I don't think their other stuff is brick walled, but just sticking here, I think that the production is just too overdone for the style. They're trying to make it sound like there are more things happening than there actually are. When you pick it apart, you realize that it's not all that technically impressive. That's just production though. That's not my only problem with this album.

the grind elements are what makes calc perfect imo, oh and the vox, the fucking vox

We agree occasionally, Jac. But even when we don't, I can't hold it against you cause you're a classy dude.

Dem, I hate to say it, but I think Calculating Infinity's vox are its weak point.
