3.0 = it's beautifully produced and I can appreciate all the ingredients of which it is comprised, but it doesn't make me feel anything what. so. ever.

I might as well stare pensively into a glass of milk; it'd be about as profound and melancholic as this album

Yeah I really just agree that the s/t evoked a lot more feeling and emotion. Don't see how anyone could think otherwise really. Blake is obviously talented as hell. But it's like he spent time to calculate the emotional impact of the delivery, negative space, atmosphere, etc. of all his previous work, where on here he kind of just rides his production and vocal ability out without really putting the same amount of effort into producing a solid work. Like yeah it's well produced and the vocals are great. But Blake was a lot more than that in his st/klavierwerke/cmyk days. Still really hoping this will grow on me (and it has a little bit), but I can't see it ever having the impact of his earlier work.
