if not unlistenable then how about music that you would turn off after a few songs... music that doesn't invite another listen?... well regardless this is still above average music .. a 3 at worst especially if you enjoy the genre and their past works... a 1.5... no sir/madame

I keep listening to TDH hoping that I'll like them but I can't get over how over the top Casey sounds all the time.

still probably gonna give this a shot. good review Waste

You don't like Casey? Damn. I saw them live last week and he was fucking incredible. Also, I never knew he was such a good guitarist.

I have always thought he is a really great vocalist.

I'm not saying he's a bad singer but I feel like he's just such a schizophrenic songwriter. There's a difference between complexity and just chucking in instruments and weirdness for the sake of weirdness.

I finally got the LP in the mail today. I got lucky and ended up with the yellow variant that they began to press by mistake. #rare

You guys should really check out the bonus tracks they released with the Migration Annex. Some of the strongest tracks are on there in my opinion like Old Demons and Like Crazy.

i dont get the praise surounding let go. i mean its alright but its certainly not worth trudging through the monotony of circles and sweet naivete to get to it. if it wasn't for shame and girl this album would be an easy 2.5

Shame and Girl are so damn good. I actually really like the intro/verses (the chord progression of the piano arpeggios
are really interesting) of Sweet Naivete, but the rest of the song does kinda blow.

yeah there is something to enjoy in sweet naivete he just lets the song outstay its welcome. i actually think circles is worse.

"i dont get the praise surounding let go"

It's ending is the best part of the whole album IMO.

I wish there were some more upbeat moments on here. It's gets a little tiring in some spots.

I can't get enough of Girl and Shame though.
