This album is pretty fun. Their energy makes up for the fact that this is as far from pushing
themselves as they can get. I seriously hope they put out another real gem one of these days. In the
meantime I'll enjoy this for what it is.

Oh, and I enjoyed the review. Pretty much mirrors my thoughts.

Man does this stream dull the guitar and drums. I do honestly think this will benefit from a higher
bitrate.

So the album is starting to sound better after allowing it so sink in. I got used to the generic
parts, and now the great parts are driving the experience for me. Unfortunately, it is mostly just
the riffs that are bringing me back. Jesse doesn't command this album like he did in The Hymn of a
Broken Man. He pretty much just screams and sings the choruses that were written before he even
reunited with the band.

Solid 3 to 3.5, but I want to listen to that quality stream before I rate.

By the way, did anybody notice that the riffs are way different than what the band usually writes?
They seem way more technical and have a much different rythm, similar to All That Remains and Misery
Signals.

Lol it's almost exactly the same riffs you heard on their last two atrocious pieces of art.

And I find it hilarious that Tranta is comparing KsE's guitar work to Misery Signals.

Minus.

"In Due Time" is way too similar to "Take This Oath" at many points.

But it still jams hard.

This is not what I've expected. It sounds almost the same as previous albums with Howard Jones. Well, it seems like AOJB-era Killswitch will never come back.

Really great review man. I agree with pretty much everything and I'll only probably rate it higher because I enjoyed it a lot for it's nostalgic sound.

This album confused me at first - I was expecting something evolved given the hype over it. What I received was about two great songs and a giant plate of generic metalcore. Some of the songs gave hints of progression, and then pulled back to their original, formula form.

The best part of this album is the interlude on the song 'Always' in which Adam sings.
Jesse is a nice replacement, but Killswitch really lost something now Howard is gone.

Intotheshit, ok maybe not as much Misery Signals but you know what I mean in that the riffs aren't
Killswitch-like a lot of the time. It's not a bad thing though, because they are still good.
