They made this one, and their first self-titled with Jesse.

I actually really like the reissue of the first self-titled. The original is good, but the reissue sounds so much better (to be expected since it was mostly rerecorded).

I can see that but its still pretty bland compared to their other work.

The only one I consider worse than it is the second self-titled. That one just felt lazy to me. At least the first one had energy and passion behind it, even though the songs weren't executed all too wonderfully.

Good point that record is very bland, giving both Jesse and Howard an unexceptional record.

Howard needs to do another Blood Has Been Shed album. Don't care about this new project he's working on.

Do they have new music, the band name is gay.

@Wogger They might have released something, but I haven't been bothered to check.

solid. And I can't help but feel a Howard influence in the cleans, admittedly a turn off point with me on the last album.

Yeah, Jesse does sound like Howard in a few songs. The New Awakening in particular.

I never thought he sounded too Howard-like. Since Seemless, he's had a much more apparent blues sytlings to his cleans, and he still has a more harsh scream than Howard.

Going to see these guys later this month but they're unfortunately playing way too much from this album.
