Pusher Lover Girl is the least catchy song on here. That song is so boring

I'm not really sure what I'm meant to be biting into. I don't find it catchy, at all. And sure I can appreciate that the production sounds nice but it doesn't grab me.

I get where you coming from. It's not catchy at all i agree. (Except for Suit and Tie which is utterly destroyed by Jay-Z and hence the weakest song on the album) But does it have to be catchy? I feel it really rewards repeated listening, you discover new things and subtle touches in every song, every time you listen to them. Show me another pop album who did that recently. And don't come at me with Channel Orange, it had some amazing tracks but besides pyramids it was not that experimental.

The last pop album I remember that is as good production wise and as diffrent from the norm is "Dark Fantasy" from Kanye. And I don't even think you can call tracks like Monster pop music.

Artists intentionally producing their music way louder than necessary because they think it will make their music stand out, which pretty much ruins any production value it had going

Yeah i did not hear of that loud war stuff on Kanye's Dark Fantasy. And I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate the guy as a person, and i really didn't want to like the album, so i guess it's not because i just want to see him succeed.

the production/mixing etc on dark fantasy was sweet but they raped it hard in mastering it clips like nobody's business
