This is still rather bad and Soilwork is still annoying. This does objectively deserve a 4 for the effort, though. If I gave this a 3, I'd have to give all their other albums like 1,5.

1st half: 4.5/5 (nearly flawless and classic metal)
2nd half: 3.5/5 (an average re-hash of the first half)

objetively, this is a 4

I still Like Chainheart Machine more than this. But this is almost as good as A Predator's Portrait, almost.

XfingTheSullen, cmon man you change your mind like...every month, this is not a bad album.

Great comeback for the band, thats undeniable.

I'm still not sure what I think about this album. Sure it was shockingly good for Soilwork at the beginning, but then all the excitement subsided... it's ok I guess.

I think it wasn't, but it was much better than the three that preceded it. It was the start of an upward slope for the band, and this album goes further that way. Even though their sellout phase is over, I don't think they'll be able to put out something excessively good after this album

I've been listening to this quite a bit lately, though there are certainly a couple of filler tracks, it's amazing how much staying power most of the songs on here have.

It's like all my favorite melodeath bands from high school decided to put some effort into their albums.
