they are tho
not even close. have you actually ever listened to them or did you just hear that they were pop punk and automatically write them off?
actually no i like a good deal of pop punk, i just thought that album was really average. i've never been a big fan of that style of pop punk anyways though so that wasn't a huge surprise to me
Album Rating: 3.5
im drunk and this is a good review and good album major fucking progress here salute hard
idk i just kinda clicked with the lyrics cuz bitches
Album Rating: 3.5
boats n hoes
But yeah my favorite band is BTMI, it'd be kind of hypocritical for me to say all pop punk sucks, lol
but btmi isnt pop punk............................
I listened to the Metal Gear track on YouTube. It's not awful, but it's not that great. Don't really get the hype. Maybe I'm immune to most metalcore these days.
How are they not pop punk
you legit cannot pin btmi into one genre of music besides like a general umbrella term of punk its ridiculous to just call them pop punk have you even heard their first like 4 albums
havent heard much btmi but arent they p much ska punk
Digging: Tim Hecker - An Imaginary Country
idk they just make really upbeat catchy punk which is what I would consider pop punk. They definitely have elements of other genres in them, I just think the closest you can come to really defining them is pop punk. I can see what you're saying though
i mean if you can explain how this is pop punk somehow
then by all means go ahead because i'd love to hear it
i would never label them as pop punk because it would be an insult to everything jeff rosenstock has ever written
ska punk tho
eh their earlier stuff is ska punk but they've moved to a more straight up punk sound
like there's absolutely no ska influence in vacation
Kris I get your point I'm just saying that a large majority of their stuff would be classified as pop punk which is why I called them a pop punk band
"a large majority of their stuff would be classified as pop punk"
because you're literally the only person i've ever met that's called them that and i know a
looooooooooot of people who love btmi and i read a looooooooooooot of internet stuff on them
