actually no i like a good deal of pop punk, i just thought that album was really average. i've never been a big fan of that style of pop punk anyways though so that wasn't a huge surprise to me

I listened to the Metal Gear track on YouTube. It's not awful, but it's not that great. Don't really get the hype. Maybe I'm immune to most metalcore these days.

you legit cannot pin btmi into one genre of music besides like a general umbrella term of punk its ridiculous to just call them pop punk have you even heard their first like 4 albums

idk they just make really upbeat catchy punk which is what I would consider pop punk. They definitely have elements of other genres in them, I just think the closest you can come to really defining them is pop punk. I can see what you're saying though

eh their earlier stuff is ska punk but they've moved to a more straight up punk sound
