if anything that's one of the weaker, less creative lyrics on the album

Got any better? sure as hell beats anything from Antivist.

They really could have done better lyrically on this

ofc it's better than Antivist (not that I have any problems with that track)

As for anything better, the entire song 'And The Snakes Start To Sing'.

But idk maybe the endless posts edits and reblogs on tumblr and other social media of that line have numbed me to it's meaning/weight

'They really could have done better lyrically on this'

I mean really try to give them some credit.

Compare this to the lyrics they wrote in lets say 2007.

and that's kind of a blanket statement anyways. good/bad lyrics are completely objective so anything that doesn't PERFECTLY speak to me on every line of every track 'could've been better lyrically'

Oh yeah definitely about the overuse of it. The other lyric I probably prefer more is that quiet part in Sleepwalking

Yeah but I saw on an interview that Oli wrote random lyrics to accompany a song so they wouldn't lose that song and ended up using that original lyric anyway. It's like they didn't even fully try for the most part and it shows.

Definite improvement, but some of the lyrics from There Is a Hell are respectable

ive never even had an issue with their lyrics, lyrics have never been that important to me in music

i mean, obviously its great if the lyrics in the song are interesting/clever, but SS era BMTH lyrics werent overly cringey. just middle of the road.

Now Antivist, that has terrible lyrics

Lyrics have no effect on how much I enjoy music unless they're ridiculously grotesque which is something I can't seem to get over. But I can still comment on how appalling they are sometimes

If anything, Antivist is middle of the road lyrically speaking. It's just a fun, loud, fast bouncy who gives a fuck song. It's great fun live.

Disagreed. Suicide Season has quite a few cringe moments.

I've only listened to this and parts of There is a Hell and some lyrics aren't bad but there are some which are just awful.
