I can def hear the influence JT but they actually stole riffz, that's ghey but I know it happens quite a bit and I'm assuming sometimes un-intentionally i.e. death riffs and camel riffs

Very well-written review, and I agree, this is definately the best Steven Wilson album (so far).

Just a couple of things you could have mentioned though ...
As the 'band' also say themselves, one of the reasons, the dynamics between the instruments are so great on this album, is due to the fact that these guys have played together since the Grace for Drowning Tour. You can really hear this on both Luminol and at the end of Driving Home.

Marco Minneman and Gunthrie Govan also does a side project together (which I encourage everyone here to check out), called "The Aristocrats": http://the-aristocrats-band.com/news/free-download-of-sweaty-knockers/

You have some excellent reviews of some of the tracks, so why not make it complete with a review of the masterpiece ending track, that is The Raven that refused to sing

All the flute/sax parts are golden. The clear highlights from a pretty great album.

You need to clear away
all the jetsam in your brain
And face the truth
Well love can make amends
While the darkness always ends
You're still alone
So drive home
