Brilliant album, I love Ending the Perpetual Tragedy. If anyone has an .mp3 of To Bear the Brunt of Many Blades i'd be uber grateful.

This is strange. I just watched Dune yesterday.

I absolutely hate how bands like this feel it's necessary to use movie clips --
or sound clips of any sort -- that are imposed upon the listener as a distinct section of the music (such as in intros, outros, bridges, segues, entire songs, whatever). This Message Edited On 11.22.08

I agree(mostly), but i think that they work extremely well on this.

For instance, Ed Gein is band that makes fantastically furious music that is marred by an obsession with terribly unnecessary movie clips, most especially the ones from Donnie Darko, a movie I despise.

My dig is (presently) United Nations, and you'll notice that in one of their songs, they incorporated some recorded sound clips of people talking (kind of like an announcer over a radio; like that)
Guess what?

It didn't suck, because it wasn't a stand alone element. They utilized it to enhance their music. That is the kind of excellence that needs to purvey the entirety of hardcore, metalcore, and any other genre (in)famous for using retarded clips. This Message Edited On 01.21.09

Such an amazing album. I downloaded it back when I was a n00b and thought it sucked.

Now that I am a more experienced listener, I realize that this album is amazing.

I love Shai Hulud's sincerity. Also, my favorite song on the album is "Willing Oneself To Forget About What Cannot Otherwise Be Forgiven"....Damn that's a long and pretentious-sounding name. I can't tell if they're trying to be profound or just really really vague in as many words as possible.
