If you want a website that clings onto every djent group like it's the next Meshuggah, Got-Djent would work incredibly well for you. And if you can't handle the negative opinion presented here, then I suggest you spend your time on a different website.

---

I said the album deserves a 3, not that it's the next pinnacle of prog metal.

That last part's bullshit, too. This is objectively a 3? Really? You don't think people, can, y'know, have different opinions on music, and them be equally valid?

---

He blatantly said he gave it a 2.5 because of his disappointment. I would go on giving you other reasons to support my argument but then I'd be offensive to the fellow who wrote the review, which I didn't mean to be in the first place.

I just listened to their debut Journey Though The Hidden Garden and it is much better than this

album. I completely understand that if someone had listened to it before Living Mirrors that

the latter would seem very disappointing in comparison.

Dude, is it really worth challenging a 3 to a 2.5? It's half a point.

It's from disappointment, but it's not from my personal, intangible disappointment. It's from comparative disappointment between the two albums, which I have written about and justified. I did my best to mesh my personal opinions and my "objective" feelings towards the album, but you've really got to accept that there is no true objectivity in this realm. Otherwise we'd all have the same things at the same ratings.

If you feel like it deserves a 3, that's cool. Rate it at a 3. I gave it a 2.5 (and would give it a 2.7 if I had the .1 margins).

We have different opinions and that's life.

BTW - Good review. Still haven't gotten around to that Guilt Machine album you recc'd me a while back,
so I apologize! I'm really digging this so far though. I'm going to check out this album and their
previous album as well, I think!

Okay, this is amazing. Listening to this for the 3rd time and it still leaves the same impression as
it started. =D I might even like this one more than the debut.

I probably won't listen to this too much in the future, but it's not too shabby. Well produced and lots of great musical bits.

I'm glad to see so many people do like this album. I like the band, this just does very little for me and I see very little lasting appeal or importance to it (as opposed to Journey). But that's one of the great things about music.

And at least here I don't get lambasted for giving it a 2.5. I was reading all the shit the one dude at got-djent got for giving it a 6/10... Dear god.

The only track I can't fully digest is AUM. Really digging all the light parts of the album, "Choices Over Me" tapping part is the s**t.

This album is easily a classic, the vocals were dynamic and interesting, the music is driven and emotional as fuck.

Best of all is the lyrical theme on this album, there is so much inner/spiritual development involved and it really hits me on a personal level.

Sucks to see so much negativity here pertaining to this album however, I really hope this one gets AOTY..I believe it could >.

Struggled with this. Glad I didn't stop listening though - things pick up from track 9 through 13. Great guitar-work but I wish the vocals were more interesting.

Guess I should check out the debut..
