I agree with the other users commenting that is this great but it just feels like it is missing something. Everything on here is done well but nothing is really spectacular.

I don't care for cellist driven post-rock/ metal. I sort of liked their s/t because they were onto something but I found their songs fizzled out too quick without the mandatory peak that most post-metal should have. Too much valley trudging. All We Destroy didn't improve on this one bit so I'm not hopeful for this album. Great review though, I just think this band relies too much on instrumentation and less on composition.

Yeah I can definitely see where you're coming from. Usually post metal bands have a climax they build to throughout the song but they don't really do that. That's why I struggle to call them post metal, especially on this since its much more prog oriented.
