Depends what you're looking for, his discography varies going through filfthy noise and post-punk (check his former band:The Birthday Party and the album Junkyard for more of that), tender ballads (Boatman Call for that), Tender Prey is also a good starting point being the bridge between his drugged post-punk years and his next phase that was a bit softer (it's also a flawless and somber album). But If there was one record I'd recommend for a first listener it would be Do You Love Me, it's accessible, sexy and one of his classics for sure
