He's a Youtube reviewer who runs a channel called TheNeedleDrop.
kk, don't spend a lot of time floating around youtube.
We need more good bands getting popular not staying obscure just for you.
It would be rare to find a band actively releasing music to stay obscure just to be obscure. Yeah I'd see why they'd do it - but chances are they'd be itching for some free publicity?
i don't mind bands i dig getting popular, you're getting the wrong picture. i just don't like hipster sub-culture & the way they operate. now you're going to say 'but you're acting like one of them,' no. there's a thin line between exclusive quality and hipsterin', take a look at it.
I was a hipster before it was cool
hipster subculture is characterized by a particular motif, and revolves around similar patterns. Both fashion & music-wise. By introducing hips to different genres they'll manage to expand their contours and therefore will shit on bands that were once fun to see live. Have you seen alcest live?
Gian you are literally acting exactly like a huge stereotypical hipster who doesnt know hes a hipster lol.
I can see a band not wanting to be the next Coldplay or Mumford and Sons popularity wise, but I think every band wants to at least get known a little bit underground.
he introduces the mainstream to bands that are unknown to them
not unknown bands
was talkin from the audience's perspective.
wtf no, I told you I hate hipsters. If I'm a hipster and not aware of it then it's really fucked up dude. lol, let's forget this discussion and focus on col, it's going nowhere.
I liked that album
exmilitary is great but i haven't listened to that 1, is it good?
Kind of dumb at times, but for some reason I really liked it.
yeah it was pretty cool.
not AOTY tho
Digging: NEGOTO - Vision
Fartano gave it a 10/10 like wtf. He never gives albums 10/10.
He used to be funnier now he's just gone completely serious
he's still pretty funny
and I think he was joking about giving Money Store a ten. didn't he give it a 9 in the actual review?
Digging: Tim Hecker - An Imaginary Country
InfidelAmsterdam is cooler agreed
Also if you watched his "I Saw Sunn O))) live" video, it's probably the most pretentious thing I've ever seen.
Video link Snoxxy or it didn't happen
I remember watching it when I was 13 yrs old and going like 'wow, these guys are necromancers wow'
Then I don't believe you you fucking liar ;]
Anthony has never struck me as pretentious, even when it kinda seems like it. Everything he says just seems so honest.
