I think this is a good album but people are definitely overrating it

I think you're lying to yourself.

A few years back I was lucky enough to see these guys open for Down (should have been the other way around imo). I was leery of what they would be like without Piggy, but the new guitarist really killed it and seemed like a legitimate part of the band. It's even more exciting to see that Daniel Morgrain is a kick-ass song writer as well as a dynamic performer.

I like this album honestly, I think I could stand to bump this up to a 4 if I listen a few more times, which I will definitely be doing soon. In fact, I might even buy the disk soon

I've never heard anything by this band, but I've been wanting to get into them for a while. Might as well start with this one since people seem to really be enjoying it.

I love the sense of doubt people are giving this, probably only after a single listen. There's too much going on to fully grasp this in one sitting.

Phenomenal grower. With each headphone-thrashing listen, I can't help but tack on an additional 0.5. Special mention goes to "Mechanical Mind" and "Corps Étranger" for their sidereal-sprawling insanity. I deduct a mandatory 0.5 for "Target Earth," the slightly filler-ish, very drunkenly fish-tailing title track. (I'm just not feelin' your plodding gait, horned blue alien peacekeeper.)

At times, this honestly feels more like some half-strangled amalgam of punk and King Crimson-style progressive acid rock. The metal does come through... but only *just*.

I wouldn't believe for a second you rated this under those circumstances Willie hahaha. This has been playing non-stop for about a week now and I can't get enough of it.

Finally listening to this through headphones, the sound production is fuckin' devastating.... So is the music....

Glad I didn't pay too much attention to the album stream.

Devastating as in 'devastatingly bad' or 'devastatingly awesome'?
