Never had any issues with ASAP Rocky, surprisingly. Though his inflections can at times be, peculiar(?), he has a great tone, and his vocals have a tendency to naturally-flow over any beat. Listening to some of his instrumentals, I'm baffled by how easily he spits over them.

"1 Train" is just great though. Probably the greatest I've ever heard, Danny Brown. I was happy to discover Yelawolf was on the track, and Kendrick Lamar & Big K.R.I.T. killed it (in a positive way).

Idk man, I can definitely get on some tracks but I just can't sit through the whole thing without being bored, annoyed or anything of the like. Quite frankly I don't know exactly what it is, I mean I listen to other stuff that's lyrically completely ridiculous/mediocre (Tech N9ne for example) and that doesn't happen. And it's not like the beats are shitty here either.

But I agree, 1 Train is definitely a great track. Probably thing on here with those features. It still bugs the shit out of me that Yelawolf killed almost every guest verse I heard him on but fucked up his LP.

asap is too inconsistent to listen to for extended periods. you'll hear 1 or 2 good songs then you'll hear 2 or 3 bad ones. not worth it.

I'm somewhere between a 3.5 - 4. Needs a few more playthroughs though.

I agree with the notion of his lyrics being absurdly... "meh". But when discussing lyrics in regards
to rap & hip-hop, you have to account for the fact that they directly correlate with two purposes.
The content itself, what's being said, and choice of words for the purpose of "flow".

I can't for the life of me recall who, but I do recall someone once saying something along the lines
of, "no one cares about what you're saying if you can't say it right". Though there are plenty of
other artist who can do both better, haha.

Grimes is the homie. I fucks with everybody, man. I fuck with Grimes because she's underrated.

lol

also lol pitchfork for calling wild for the night dubstep or even suggesting there's a "drop" in it. that term's getting ridiculously diluted

I don't know what it is but I just find ASAP crazy overrated. He's got damn good production and some decent lyrics here and there but overall it just comes off as above average igorant rap.

"If you fucked her once, then you could fuck her twice and don't get head from hoes with overbites."

That sounds like a joke about the chorus of Hands on the Wheel by Schoolboy Q Ft. ASAP Rocky.
