There you are trying to eat your evening cereal and then you have the picture of Cal Chuchesta and THAT in your head. Ugh.

Now that is a conversation. Cal Chuchesta, Melanie Laurent, Tom Selleck, some nigguh with a Christmas hat on potsy's avatar and someguest's creepy old dude.

Released as both a stand-alone EP, as well as an addendum to the deluxe edition of ‘Born to Die’, ‘Paradise’ is an intriguing 8 tracks worth from the ever divisive Lana Del Rey. While the fact that these tunes are practically B-sides & offcuts means that this is not as good as her preceding duo of 2012 releases, there is still enough here to be captivated by. Those digging deeper into the lyrics will find both positives (this seems a little more personal than her LP) & negatives (some embarrassingly bad lines), while the cover of ‘Blue Velvet’ seems fitting as the entire EP could soundtrack a David Lynch film. Recommended Tracks: Ride, Gods & Monsters and American.

Excluding 'Blue Velvet', I'm thinking either 'Wild at heart' or 'Mulholland Drive'.

I haven't seen Mulholland. Keep forgetting to. Your thoughts on it?

"Your thoughts on it?"

One word: Lesbians.

It's as strange, intriguing & captivating as most of Lynch's films.

If she's not naked and getting stuffed then I'm not interested.
