They need to stop now really, they can only create mediocre material nowadays

His lyrics made a lot more sense back in the 90s and now when he should write better stuff, he can't stop from writing arena bullshit lines and simple stuff with no substance.

90's Green Day is supreme

billie's lyrics were awesome then. I don't know what went wrong.

Quite funny at times too

He has the same ideas and abstract descriptions for tracks concerning women. Just like he did on She's A Rebel or Extraordinary Girl, he did with Last Of The American Girls, Viva La Gloria and now Wild One and Lady Cobra. Only Ashley and Amanda are slightly different from his usual point of view.

but 90's green day never really sang about girls and it's obviously not his strong suit.

Anyone agree than Insomniac is the best thing they've done?

dookie will always be the best. redundant from nimrod is one of my favorite tracks.

In the 90s he never sounded that pretentious or absurd, it was down to earth stuff, sometimes sarcastic, that's what I liked about them.
|

There's less filler on Dookie, but the 'great' tracks off of Insomniac reign supreme.
Even though Emenius Sleepus is my fave GD track.

I love Insomniac most (hence my username). Still, Dookie is really close and Nimrod third.

it makes no sense how he's become more immature and shows less depth than when he was younger.

bullshit. billie was a full blown speed addict in his early years so that has nothing to do with it.

Only so long before they fuck you up, rehab didn't work for the guy

what do you think basket case was all about. rehab isn't going to fix the fact he's out of things to say.
