I guess that make sense since those are both some of my favorites.
And I would actually say that this album feels a little more conventional than the drift, but I do agree that it has some moments that feel even more sparse and devoid of musicality like in Dimple, Tar and Pilgrim.

It was an "My God, did he just go there?" sort of moment.
The track Corps De Blah had to grow on me a little bit because it seems rather disjointed and random, even by his standards. I still feel it could have been done a little better, but like I said before the strength of the individual parts makes up for it enough.
