Review Summary: Josh Frazer is a maniac, and by maniac I don't mean a virgin with his own music site - this KICKS ASS
Bought some applecinnamon moonshine from my nigga in Macon last weekend time just got home from the gym decided to drink some and write this god what a mistake i hafe work the next morning dammit anyways. I promised him one and by god i keep my promises. Jash Frazer is the man, the myth, the legend behind INtriket and goddamn let me tell you, this is a huge improvement from his first album . The oozing synths bury the reader into a beautiful orgasmic abyss of cosmic wonder leaving the common man to ponder, "Untrue 2.0"? No Adam Downerr, far from it asshat. Anywho the album is now upon us so let us bestow.
The album fades into an aura of raw dissonance, I thiink of Clubroot for some reason but. The first song sets the mood for the listener and kinda makes way for them to know what they are about to enjoy. Ya know, sets the tone for the album? The next track rules face, kinda reminds me of Klatu not sure why but I like it alot. "As I Am (WILL YOU TAKE ME) ends and "Raindrops" begins. Wow. simply wow. The song begins with raindrops (waterfall?) hitting the pavement. I think birds are chirping in the background dont quote me on that tho. It is the most upbreat song yet and i really dig it. Around the bridge of the song some nice female vocals (a la mode Burial?) come into the background they really complement the song. Who did the vox? good question. Is it a sample? Another fine question sir.
We reach an interlude which is a good opportunoty for the listener to change their trousers if they have already blown their load. i have the stamina of a sea anenome so i should be fine until more female vox. *** TOO LATE MAN some tortured female vocals come in and they grab my attention, the song is dark will it set the tone for a darker, satanic second half? we will see what it brings us. I dig this track alot man. "Giant Sun" starts and......GOTDAMN the bass eventually drops and Skrillex can suck a fat one after this bass drop. kEven Borgore has been brought to shame (RIP Israel). This song reeeeeksss of subwoofer and #swag. there is a choir (a la Halo theme song) in the background that i dig and a distorted bass line. Josh Frazer is inspired but a lot of things i think1!! THis is the best song so far I like this one A LOT (true storry). "Enough" begins with some natural beauty of nature with some birds. Its quite magical tbh and the song rolls into the beat is funky and kinda tribal. I like it a lot im sure everyone else will too. The layers of sounds that hit me on this track sound great, they add to the building climax that climaxes into a great finish for the song.
The title track beings eerily with what im guessing is a sample (dont quote me on that) with some wobbly bass kicking in. This has the feel of Clubroot's first album tbh. the song is not really dark but it also isnt upbeat! I like the vibe it gives off, I feel a little bit of Existence here as well. the vocal samples [3] really aid the tracks moody atmosphere.DEFINITELY a boner jam. And here we are, the OUTRO. Idk about you guys but the album kinda flew by its a good thing it rules multi[pe levels of face so i can listen to it again and again. if in wasnt so drunk i would jerk off but i cant even get a boner right now so anywayss back to the Outro.
The song begins with another eerie intro with some sampled [4] femalse vox. Is it getting old? Hell naw he mixes each sample up to keep a freash approach so you keep interest. Jash is a great musicia. This is the grand finale of his magnum opus and gotdamn it is pretty sweet. The background vocals (provided by yours truly) add a distinct aura to the finale.. The album ends with right where i started, alone in this bed with a laptop and a jar of moonshine. Thediffernece is i am sitting in semen although i dont remeber when i came so *** i hope no one ends up pregnant.
The Woods by iNTRiket is a fantastic full length release and truthfully only rivaled by Burial for electronica aoty. QUOTE ME ON THAT ONE. I hope you all support him and give this a listen!! #dubstepswag
