"Nirvana made mostly shitty music for the masses while the 3 aforementioned bands created timeless art."
If the other bands were the "metal" or other sub genres Nirvana was the punk. They all have their respective places.

I still remember the first time I heard Teen Spirit on the radio. I was laying in bed late at night
and the song came on. The album had just been released and no one had heard of them yet. I cant even
explain in words how unique and fresh it sounded at the time. From them moment I heard that epic drum
intro, it had me. A few months later, they were a household name.

They had some jams I liked: Lithium, Lounge Act, Territorial Pissings, Lake of Fire, etc. But I still dislike this band overall.

That song they came out with after Kurt died, You Know You're Right (?), was badass though. Sounded like an AIC song.

If I'm not mistaken, the band tried to release that song well before 2002, but Courtney Love was being a pain in the ass as usual.

I remember she tried stopping a whole bunch of stuff that was gonna be released after Kurt died. Including that notebook he had that was eventually published.
