I don't get why everyone loves Goon Squad so much? It's way overlong for it is, not even a hint of catchiness on an album that hinges on it..

I'd say Graphic Nature is the most filler track here, but no way is Goon Squad filler. The main riff grooves hard and Chino's Around the Fur style vocal delivery in the verses is awesome

I used to think Graphic Nature was the most filler, but it's really grown on me. His vocals, the swirling guitars, the digital bath-ish drums...



Goon Squad, I dunno, it's heavy and dense but nothing else. Also the worst lyrics on the album, and this is already Chinos least inspired lot of words haha

Out of the gate we are floored by one of Stephen Carpenter’s most swinging riffs. We Swerve through the City, drunk, barely missing pedestrians and we are having one of the best nights of our lives. Then we catch a speed trap up ahead and our Romantic Dreams seem to have been crushed. As we stop for some munchies at the nearest mart, we realize that we are so drunk that the rythym of the scenery keeps changing all around us. There is no natural progression from one event to the next. It is startling but also exciting. Then it dawns on us that this night never has to end.
