Can't compare it to the older stuff. It doesn't sound anything like it. There's a better atmosphere here than they've had in a quite a while though.

This is only really comparable to Thornography, except it's actually good

Uh oh, I really dislike their past few albums. Damnit, this is probably never going to happen but I hope just for one album they come out with something closer to their first five.

Their new guitarist or whatever said he disliked the atmosphere on their earlier records so yea I don't think it's gonna happen

What? Why would they dislike that atmosphere? It's so much more haunting/terrifying than anything in the pas 15 years or so...that's lame

They've just changed as a band. Plus Dani could never pull off any of the shit he used to do. That was 15-20 years ago, shit changes.

At least Dani doesn't sound like ass any more like he did on their previous two LP's

Gah I know, but it's possible to change and not sound as shitty IMO, haven't heard this but I'm judging nymphamine and other albums- many bands change, death an neurosis are obvious examples of changing and still being awesome- but many people seem to dig their new sound so it could just be me

maybe it's just me but I don't think they've changed much at all since Midian, this and Thornography being the exceptions

What's up with all the Thornography hate, that album riffs hard and is easily the worthwhile release since Midian.

I completely agree. Without a doubt my favorite out of the post-Midian albums.

Actually decided to buy this one too. It's growing on me more and more so I figured it's good enough to spend money on. Definitely wasn't gonna spend money on Darkly or Godspeed, even though I still enjoyed them.
