havent listened to this band in so long
checked this out and its pretty good, glad to see that they didnt go to complete shit like so many of their contemporaries
|
| |
But they're still becoming formulaic
|
| |
*Becoming* formulaic? HA!
|
| |
Alright alright they started on Fiction, but that album was good. We Are the Void, not so much.

OBZEN
|
| |
Fiction is the last good thing they did.
|
| |
Seeing as only this and We Are The Void have come after Fiction, I'd say it's early to write them off (and this here could be really good for all I know).
|
| |
Hopefully they recover and go back to riffage
|
| |
I think they need t diversify a little more. I feel they hold back, their longer songs are mostly good to great Like My Negation and a Sense of Loss. Maybe they should experiment a little more, and not play it safe with the 'mainstream-ish' song structures and melodies in The Void. But hey, people gots to earn, the wider the audience the more paper they get.

Totally agree with this. One mediocre album doesn't mean the band suddenly sucks or is lost forever. People seem to
forget that Fiction, which was only one album ago, was arguably their best record since The Gallery.

We Are the Void > Fiction, Character, and Damage Done
Am I alone in this?

So alone

So very, very alone.

@eyes You see I would've thought you were trolling.
|

Damage Done rapes. Bow your miserable opinions to its superiority.
|
| |
But, do I have to?
|
| |
That's a tall claim, but Fiction felt like a good balance of most of the DT elements. Damage done is also terrific, and Haven.
|
| |
DT's instrumental breaks should be extended, a lot of them are interesting but too short.
|
| |
Actually thought was decent upon a few listens.
|
| |
band is really boring now
