"you have 2 lil wayne albums 5'd, the only classic hip hop album you've even heard is by the one
group even my mother knows of, AND
you think people will be comparing shit to this 'classic' modern hip hop album in ten years
dont make me scoff"
uh yea because lil wayne is a legend and made classics it's easy to see that when you look at his
work in a vacuum, and I promise you in 10 years ppl will be caring about this because music history
doesn't revolve around the personal opinions of internet contrarians u buttnerd

"lil wayne is not a legend"
I disagree. I think 90% of his post-prison output has been straight trash but he influenced generations of rappers and he'll be remembered in hip-hop for years to come even if he didn't make another song starting now (crossing fingers) and he basically saved the rap industry from its corporate "ringtone rap" era that was seriously killing the entire genre except for few backpackers. (ironically bein apart of it by making Lollipop but still that was a good song)
u can even see he influenced Kendrick a LOT when you listen to Ken's earlier songs. he influenced a ton of modern rappers (and not just in the "making corny pussy puns" way, but in the terms of flow, havin kind of moot-yet-entertaining song subjects, etc) plus I will always stand by him bein one of the greatest rappers ever at a point. I mean jus listen to these
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7mg0lqBKqE (his verse starts at 1:20)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_bvOXxNbsM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0ivM-DSais
I mean jus listen to how crazy his flow is and how he dominates the beat with just his voice and energy

"people just saying this is classic because other people said its classic who heard some dj or reviewer say its classic who was told by the record company its classic"
yea lol it can't be because ppl genuinely music it's because they're drones. they don't REALLY like it.

this is a good album that is effective at weaving together a narrative and it has quite a few really good tracks. execution leaves it far from a classic though.

"agreed it revolves around relevant and influential music so your personal opinion that this easily forgettable album is some kind of lord and savior to modern hip hop is contrarian to the fact that 'personal opinions' have no part in this musical history that you speak of dumbass"
I don't think you get that there's a world that lives around u because there are legions of ppl who don't find this album forgettable...........
