When this first came out everyone on here loved this album. I think it had like a 4.3. then he got famous and everyone wants to hate on it. If you have been following macklemore for a while (way before he was famous) you know how awesome he is. He raps about real things and real issues unlike a lot of rappers. This clearly is not quite on par lyrically from stuff on Language of my World but its still solid and the production is off the charts (Ryan Lewis absolutely killed it). I hate how most people can't realize songs like thrift shop aren't supposed to be taken seriously. He has been making funny songs for a while (ex. Penis Song, and American). Thrift shop and those I just mentioned are funny and therefore achieve what macklemore intended. I give the lyrics a 4 and the production a 5. Its a solid album. Don't hate on it because he is popular now.
