If Behemoth is as long as the live versions, I'm wondering how big the next album will be. They could only really fit one other track of their usual length, unless they decided to do another double album. They could always make it a single track ep.

45 minute EP. Only Godspeed could pull that off.

I thought an EP by definition has to be under a certain length? Potato can you confirm/deny this?

Some people classify an EP as no more than 25 minutes or so, but obviously people can do whatever they want.

Thanks for your enlightening drivel, Potato. I find it painfully funny how serious you take my comments.

EPs generally either go by total length, or by number of songs. But it's really just up to the artist/label to decide what to tag releases as. Moonsorrow have a 108 minute EP that contains one 29-minute track of new material, and 4 cover songs. If GY!BE wanted to release a one-song album a la Edge of Sanity, they could consider it either an EP or LP, whichever suited their fancy.

this is def a grower, and a worthy follow-up to yanqui if a little on the short side. worried fire is glorious. easily the least effective mixing/production i've heard from them though.

As the term "EP" was conceived during the time of vinyl, it's become a little blurred in the digital transition. At this point, you'd have to leave it up to the artist to decide whether they want to treat the record an EP or an LP.
