Is there any documented proof that Godspeed were in fact influenced by Swans? I've always been curious since people like to toss that around so much.
Also, I actually like the Seer more than Children of God at the moment. It's right there with Soundtracks for the Blind for me, maybe more right now. Sorry.

Similarity doesn't equal actual influence, though. There are many ways to end up on a certain sound either by similar influences or coincidence.

Eh, doesn't bother me. Music is music and I love it no matter what people say to try and seem intellectual. I just never pegged Godspeed to be influenced by Swans, it's interesting to learn these things.
