"He's never been as emotive as on this"

Agreed, although I think the story of the album gives him a hand in sounding as emotive as he is

The Mission, fuck me. Had some favs in the past like t/t, SMS, Breaking the Silence or the closer but this is the top track here still. Vocals lines are just too good.

If you removed all of the interludes there would be no filler tracks agreed.

if you haven't 5 this you deserve to have your dick fall off
there is no filler here
you think tate screaming "don't leaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave me" like that is "filler"?
dumbass

the only bad song is needle lies but sometimes an album transcends perfection, it's not about having no filler, this is a 5 because it's a goddamn masterpiece above and beyond what most any metal album could ever accomplish

Had this at a 5 but overplayed it slightly. Also thinking a couple of their other albums aren't that far behind this so it's all good. But yeah the interludes are very fitting and bind this together.

Mindcrime without interludes is like a movie with random scenes getting cut, because those aren't really disposable. Imo some of them should have been united with bigger tracks since they are pretty much part of them.

Honestly I rarely listen to individual cuts (overplayed them a bit too). But a full listen? Always up for that

For the record, I wasn't suggesting that the interludes were filler. Was thinking of the main cuts specifically. But yah, whole album flows so well.
