@GiaNXGX Haha the negs are probably just to show their disapproval of me sending out a review so early with such a high rating. I understand, and I won't try to deny their right to voice their mind. And if it is a bad review, I'd love to know how I can improve. I haven't reviewed in a few months, so I could definitely be a little rusty.

fucker just blindsided me with all of that

@Knott Sorry, I definitely was very excited to hear this. But I do find it to be truly magnificent right now, and I felt like reviewing it because I felt strongly about it.
I mean, it's not like other reviewers won't be able to submit their own reviews later. If it comes across as me basically prematurely obsessing over this (which I could, and I could see how my review could send that message), then maybe I'll just delete this or change my rating another time. But for now, no regrets. I was just speaking my mind, and judging by the comments in here, it looks like a lot of other different reviews will be coming in soon.

The review was good but as Knott said you basically jizzed waterfalls all over the album and it could've been a bit more professional on the descriptions. It is a good review and your writing is nice - You could've waited 3 days and released a better piece (though). Rush Rush Rush I gotta post my review fast I love this OMG. just kidding :]

@CaptainDooRight I think that it's just the context, really. I released a review of an album very quickly, with a perfect rating, and people are rightfully upset by that. If I were to wait a week or two and submit this exact same review, I highly doubt that the comments section would look the way it does.

I've never seen someone take so much heat for something and not get all pissy, if I didn't care so much for the integrity of this site I'd pos you just for that.

He's willing to learn and accept criticism. Reminds me of a young me before I got my Pam avatar and started telling everyone who distracted me from it to fuck off.

It's just... given the abandonment of expectation for this album it's difficult to really think that we can analyse it in a real way. But if we're going to pretend at least give it more than a couple of hours. One would assume given this band's legacy and the history they hold that they haven't just thrown this together as a piece of shit so analysing and criticising and evaluating it so soon after it was "released" just feels cheap. People have been waiting for this for years. I will almost certainly rate it a 4.5 or a 5 sooner or later. But it seems so reactionary and impulsive and thoughtless to declare this a masterpiece, almost as thought it devalues the album. I'm sure you will counter these arguments, but it's something worth considering.

@Calc Well there really isn't anything to be mad about. I voiced my opinion, and everybody else has equal right to voice theirs. I understand everybody's viewpoints, and respect their rights to express them.

yeah this is really good.
it feels like they aren't dillydallying in this one. they add different textures and introduce musical themes with a lot more haste than they did on say fhsarpasharp ifyouknowwhatimean. it's not better but it's not worse either, just didn't expect that.
oh and We Drift Like Worried Fire soty
