Track 4 had a part that reminded me of the song "Boys of Summer." Probably the least metal thing ever, but I loved it. I'd still probably put this last in the trilogy.

These guys are so weird, I have no idea what to think of them or how to even describe them. I haven't really heard much by these guys, but I listened to a bit of The Desanctification and I actually was quite fond of it. I'll check out their stuff in full soon though.

Am I the only one thinks of a xenomorph whenever I see the album cover?

I listened to it like two and a half times. Shut it off halfway through the third listen. It just doesn't do anything for me.

>A lot of times it's hard to justify a ratings, for example if I personally think a newer album is a 5/5 I'm probably not going to be able to review it as such because it will be impossible to explain objectively why the album is a 5 so I'll probably review it as a 4.5. This isn't a problem if you're reviewing Dark Side of the Moon or something but let's say theoretically Noctus thought this album was a 5. There's no way in hell he could write a good convincing 5 review for this mate.

Except dark side of the moon sucks balls and everyone likes it so if youre going to review it you netter have some decently original reasons

Like I said, I gave it two listens and revisited a couple of individual tracks and my opinion was only reinforced. I guess the third time's the charm, but I don't feel like taking the time now.

I don't need an album to be instantly accessible, but usually even in the most difficult albums I listen to there is something in there that compels me to come back.

You know, I've always been a fairly casual fan of this band yet I never actually bought any of their albums. Maybe I should pick this up, or are there better places to start?

I'd go back before this trilogy, of course I haven't heard any of the other parts in this trilogy in full. I just hear from people it isn't that great, and from the bits I've heard I haven't been impressed.

Try "The Work Which Transforms God", I remember thinking it was interesting some years back.

Thanks for the tips, bros. Actually, I think a friend has a couple of those mentioned albums. Might
borrow them and rip the MP3 files.

Dialogue with the Stars is great. It's like their take on melodic black metal, but still really
trippy.

Yeah everything I've heard before this trilogy is amazing. Even Sect(s) isn't bad, but the past two have been pretty shitty.
