I don't even subscribe to the "over-simplified = bad" theory, although it does hold at times. More importantly, there are differing degrees of catchiness. This album is not on the higher end of the scale.

I could have sworn I've heard that song before...or that it sounds just like many other songs. Too
repetitive. The production is better this time, at least.

Yippee... Another band to my long list... I'll check that YT vid out when I can 1st though.
I hate the word "generic" & even I used it in this review. Shame Davey shame.

Ooh, big rap for Turnover. They look really young. You should review their release.

I don't review Davey. I've only made 3. One for Cat Heaven, one for Acceptance, and one for Adele.
Don't take my word for it, Davey. Just give them a listen.

^You should start. You've written more than I have!!!

Btw, that was NOT a basement show. That place was built as a music venue. Haha.

Nuuu!!! All of those reviews have a rating of 50% or lower anyways. I find that I write a lot more when I have both good and bad things to say.

You know something is very wrong when people on absolutepunk don't like this. Very wrong.

Handguns? I'll take a bazooka please.

The only bands there were Take Charge, Light Years, Citizen, and Turnover. Crucial Dudes broke up. I don't know where Mixtapes came up, but they are pretty good. Being a first-year in college, "Russian House DJ" hits me pretty hard with its lyrics: "This town seems small, but I like it that way. / When I feel alone, I know you're just a call away."

"You know something is very wrong when people on absolutepunk don't like this. Very wrong."
This only means one thing: Handguns aren't pop punk.
