decent review. could've described more the tracks and not just criticize them in two or three words.

A slightly mixed take on the album right here, courtesy spydistrict:

http://spydistrict.com/2012/09/uno-by-green-day/

"Carpe Diem is a tongue-in-cheek number about an ideal that many young people pay lip service to, but rarely stand by in practice. “Live your life to the fullest and seize the moment!” is a great sound bite, but where’s the action to back up those words? Pretty much everyone is more concerned with making money or being successful, than following their dreams or fighting for a cause."

"I must've missed it, because as it stands, that's one unhealthy dick"
Yeah, it's changed a bit

Ehh..this album wasn't too bad. It deserves a 3. But I have a feeling that iDos! is going to be much better than iUno!

@the supernatural: what I should have said was "it's not bad, it's not great. It's better than average, and not much more."

but yeah, thanks.

Let yourself go is the only track that reminds me of American Idiot. That is a good thing. If only they

made every song with that kind of energy/power.

Not the pile of shit I was expecting, but it is still incredibly dull and average, asides from a couple of songs which are half decent

"Stay the Night" probably should have been the lead single.

I'm impressed by how horrible this is.
It just took the "Worst Record I've Heard This Year" torch from Infinity Overhead, no contest.

I expect that one could probably pull out a decent album's worth of material from these 3 albums overall. Think we all know how Billie Joe got this idea now though.

I actually expected the album to be better. The three 30 second preview tracks Green Day released on

YouTube a while back made me think the band was going in a new, energized yet mature direction. It

ends up they still kind of did, but not with the originality I hoped for. Kill The Dj ended not

being as powerful as I originally thought it would be, but I still like the song. Tracks 1-8,

besides "Fell For You," I like, and then Oh Love is a good album finisher.

For those who like this album and haven't listened to the album 'Warning," listen to it XD. Uno is

like a mixture of Nimrod, Warning and American Idiot.

Dats, I think I might just do that, as in take my favorites from all three albums and make one

amazing mixed album. That is unless Dos and/or Tre end up being much better. No matter, if Green Day

can keep this level of consistency with the next two, I would call this tri-release a success in

terms of making decent music and money.
