Really, really well-written, though I think you may have taken too long to talk about the album proper and your opinion of the album appears a little muddy.

That aside, this, right here, ladies and gents, is how you write like a boss.

good review, even if the intro is unnecassarily long. I'd probably rate it a little higher, but I agree with the points you make. this is a content Devin Townsend in 2012 loving life, and the album reflects that. probably his most upbeat release, even if it feels like just another addition to his work rather than expanding on the ideas from the first 4 Project albums

I think Casualties of Cool is going to be a whole lot better than this. A lot of the heavy stuff he
releases nowadays (by which I mean Ziltoid onwards) is just so goofy and comical that even the
supposedly "serious" heavy songs (Disruptr for example) I just can't take seriously. On the other hand
his newer, quieter stuff (Ghost 2 baby!) sounds a lot more from-the-heart and a heck of a lot less
worn out, probably because he's only properly done "quiet" since the DTP started.

I know, it sucks He says he still wants to find a way to release it, so fingers crossed someday
I'll hear the other 4 songs...and Casualties of Cool sounds in the same vein, so that's good.

I expected this to suck thinking it was going to be like Deconstruction but it rules.

Deconstruction sucked. Still never listening to Ghost in full but what I heard was good.
