I don't see how someone who loves Addicted and AE can't come to eventually enjoy this. :/

because those ones are engaging, emotional and exciting

This just feels lifeless and boring to me. literally none of the songs stuck out as being wonderful, or even great. just a big bag of meh

Physisicst is pretty good but i'd get Infinitely before that one.

I loved Grace, nothing else. some of the other stuff was fine, just not stuff I WOULD KILL to listen to.

Also i fucking hate Liberation

that one and lucky animals are cool but even then they got nothing on Supercrush, The Way Home, Bend it like Bender or even the Hyperdrive cover

actually i take it back, i think Kingdom tries a bit too hard to be heavy, it's just a constant chug riff. boring. his vocals are great though

Did you happen to see on the AE thread that I said it is my least favorite album by him. For me, all of the straightforward stuff (Epicloud, Addicted, AE, Synchestra, Sex and Religion, The New Black) ranks at the bottom. I still love all of them, but I prefer his tendency to alienate people. >:D

All that being said, Addicted and Epicloud are level to me. They both have their clear downsides and both are super easy to love due to how immediate they are.

You have never listened to it on a good soundsytem then. :/ It is easily the best sounding track on the album (especially with that intro at the end of "Save Our Now").

AE is my favourite for sure but it's very close to being even with City, Infinite, Terria, and Addicted. Ocean Machine is also growing on me. i havent heard any post-Alien SYL

and it doesn't matter how "good" it sounds, it's still a boring song, sorry

Ki is the best album ever made. ;)

I guess it the whole Dillinger thing in reverse. All of their most characteristic work bores me and their fans completely love it.
