Yes yes whatever, does your rating come from listening to the album or just being a hipster?

Looking forwards to this. Wish Frank was still in the band because they were brilliantly british.

as much as i love the gallows that frank carter created (Grey Britain IS my favourite hardcore album ever) i gotta say im pretty impressed with what i've listened off of this, lately im singing "A!C!A!B!" all the time and got that riff from "Last June" stuck in my head, i truly honestly am really excited to see where gallows goes from here, and who would of guessed that wade would fit so nicely in this band after what he did on Alexisonfire (another one of my favourite bands), so i guess what im saying is that this seems like its gonna be a great album and that i want it to be released already /rant.

Outsider Art and Last June were a major step up from the shitstorm that was Death Is Birth so I hope you're right.

Hmm, I heard the band's last album, "Grey Britain" and decided it was quite aggressive in nature but also very diverse in terms of songwriting, lyricism, etc. This new album seems to be getting quite a lot of hype from the mass media, but I might still try it out. If it's even half as violent or venomous as their previous works it's gonna be a decent one.

Grey Britain came out 2 years prior to the riots in this country, and I'd challenge anyone who's even into hardcore to state that it became the soundtrack.

After their first album I thought they sucked arse, true colours had promise but then the ep was flat and boring. I might give this a fair try as I'm not a brain dead arsehole who viewed gallows as some kind of quaint little BWITISH band bringing back single-handedly a jingoistic dad's army mental were we'd all give our children's eyes upto the royal family.

Oh and if you want to hear true shit, listen to Frank Carter's new band. They sound like a tribute band to the Darkness. Little sell out cunt.

2muchket...I think you missed the point of the Britishness. It wasn't PRO British, it hated it's own country, but it was still very very from britain. Frank represented a lot of British youths with our shame of our own heritage

I didn't say it became the official soundtrack or anything like that. It's that a lot of themes (video and lyrics in particular) appeared very pertinent to the situtation. Any off the cuff remark made on these reviews gets picked on by any two-bit c*nt and it's incredibly boring.

Still not sure what you're on about with the whole "Gallows brining back Dad's Army, powdered egg and ration books" though. You should probably consult your Grr I'm Hardcore almanac again for that one.

Loved this review. Really eager to check this out now. Loved them with Frank up front and I haven't really heard much with Wade, but I'm looking forward to it.
