Still haven't heard

I've had the 96kbps leak for a while now but for some reason I never bothered, I'll probably get it in higher quality before I try it

It gets WAY better mena. It really blows the seer (at least the 1st disk of the seer) out of the goddamn water

Oh ok ill try it again then its just that 2hrs looked a bit daunting at that point as it was sounding repetitive and not really gong anywhere much.

I hope it's better than this album tho, Seer frustrated me bcos whenever i heard a bit that was building into something i liked it snatched it away.

waiting for my cd in the mail, dug the "single" A Little God In My Hands (swans get funky now basicly)
Mena try The Great Annihilator (post-punk swans) or Filth/Cop (dirty swans), those are a lot shorter and surely easier to get into than Seer or Soundtracks

he also said he thinks the album is great but not a 5 which is about 3 times as much elaboration as half the userbase will go into on this site. most just stop at "overrated"

but i do agree the term overrated is retarded, its basically just holding statistics to some sort of personal standard which is fucking dumb

I fucking love mother of the world.

I feel like I'm not going to like to bd kind as much as everyone else is. Everyone is saying how it eclipses the seer, but I really haven't gotten that feeling at all based on what I've heard so far, but I've only heard previews and a few songs so far, so.

agreed on the overrated topic, the way he threw the it I couldn't care less to the point that I had to signify it (fairly useless I know), as for the whole this isn't a 5 I've never believed in numbers talking about music so whatev. I pretty much really dig this album and I couldn't see why it would be absurd for somebody loving this to the point of it being one of his faves

if there was one thing leaving sputnik for a while was a breath of fresh air from it was not thinking about music in numerical values haha.

but yeah, numbers, fuck it, i had like 300 5's on my old account, ppl got upset sometimes

He said that this record specifically was great, he said the band was overrated and didn't say why

but yea I agree, the worst thing about the word is that the people who use seem to automatically assume that soemthing is liked for x reason when there's no way they know why something is liked because there are literally dozens of reasons why somebody would like something and it's usually only ever used with records A LOT of people like, and when they're not assuming shit they're basically just saying that it's overrated because a lot of people happen to like it which is completely fucking absurd

I'm going to give this another go hopefully this time round I won't feel like I'm being laughed at by the musicati taking the piss by playing overlong drivel.

It's ridiculous that that happens dude, sput should either transform the numbers into the whole approximate great, excellent, etc scale, or either abandon numbers altogether (let's not even talk about objectivity settings even though I feel sput users ignore it). Shit it's already hard expressing your feels on an album with words so it's absurd to do it with math!
