This is gonna be one of those albums that you'll think is shit until you listen to it a few times. It plays like a viking metal symphony, and when coming off their last 4 albums, it's kind of off-putting how slow this album is. But even with a toned down sound, the true Ensiferum still shines through. "Retribution Shall Be Mine" could easily fit in with "Iron" or "From Afar", as well as "Burning Leaves". It's worth a 3.5, and with a few more listens, it might even be a 4/5.
