Nah, I'd say the new album would be closer to their later work like Into the Labyrinth, though it's still different from anything they've done in the past.

"While "Children of the Sun" is excellent, I felt like "Anabasis" & "Agape" were the weakest on this album (more so for
"Agape" since it sounds too similar to "Anabasis", imo), & for the past 2 of my 3 listens, I skip from 1st to the 4th."
Yeah agreed. I'm listening now and I liked Amnesia and Kiko much better than the first 3 tracks

Childern of the Sun is one of the best songs they have released...ever.
The rest of the album is excellent, so I strongly disagree about tracks being "weak", but of course people have different trainer ears, tolerance to different kinds of music, etc. I don't skip tracks ever when I listen to Anastasis, it's their most coherent yet subtle work to-date.
