This record used to be a serious obsession for me back in the day...

Couldn't disagree more with both the rating and the review.

'a) He's a good guitarist eddie van halen is most overrated-not this guy
b) base your opinions on your opinions and not other peoples opinions.
C) pantera fans are just like fans of other bands: they think their band is the best its nothing new. SO whats you're beef?'

a) Last time I checked Eddie Van Halen wasnt a METAL guitarist. Nonetheless I dont think its really relevant to the review, it wont make Pantera any better or worse.
b) I think you all was trying to say in your comments that I dont like Pantera because people love it so much. Thats just not true - I always wanted to get into this album, because everyone seem to like it. I just dont like this album, a lot. I heard it again and again, I heard the singles from this album, but I just dont like it, and I explained very well why in my review.
The thing I will admit though, is that the review is written with anger, and it bashes Pantera hard only because I want to get my point through - and thats the easiest way.

c) Well whem Im talking about "Pantera" fans I am talking about those arrogant 13 yo kids who never actually heard metal besides Slipknot and Pantera but still praise them and arrogantly call them the gods of metal.
Very similar to Avenged Sevenfold fans.

Still, the review wouldnt be a 5 without them.

You realise those arrogant 13 yo kids behave like retards regardless of what they listen to right?

So it's a non-point... wether they love slipknot or skrillex or bring me the horizon or whatever shit.

Also you're not getting a point through by bashing a band if the band is actually good.

"The most overrated metal band releases the most overrated metal album with the most overrated metal guitarist....Dimebag Darrel....started playing the same down-tuned simple riffs over and over again..."

Well to each his own, but Dime is probably the most influential guitar player of the early 90's. Those down-tuned riffs influenced an entire generation of guitarists.

The only band that I can imagine inspired by this is Disturbed, but I dont listen much to modern music.

@BodomThrashMachine:
Thats true, but most of them still listen to Pantera === Pantera fans are annoying, which was my first point.(not all of them)

Secondly, thats just a way to review, if Id be all cautious about the things I am going to say I was never gonna make a point.

David Draiman said so himself, and he is the only one I remember right now - Im sure there are a lot
of gay Nu Metal and Metalcore bands that was influenced by Pantera.
