I Felt Your Shape seems to be among everyone's favorite tracks. I dunno, I remember it being one of my LEAST favorites for some reason.

This is often compared to ITAOTS, but I think it sounds a lot more like a stripped-down "On Avery Island".

When I first heard the title track, I seriously thought it was Mangum singing, but the entire album sounds nothing like anything NMH's written.

You're the only person I keep seeing comparing those albums

They sound nothing alike tho

I guess it's fair logic: "weird lo-fi folk? Yes. Singer sounds like Jeff Mangum? Yes. Well, I guess it sounds like NMH, then."

Well the title track did. Listen to "My Roots Are Strong And Deep" and then listen to "Oh Comely" and they sound extremely different.

Lots of people compare those albums. And I'm not saying they sound EXACTLY alike, but stylistically, The Glow reminds me quite a bit of Avery Island, for whatever reason. Could be in the similar production qualities as well, but songs like You've Passed or Three Peaches definitely sound like something that could've influenced Elvrum.

NMH is more lo-fi indie rock/pop than folk
